Do you know the conversion prices do you know where it is being shipped out of? Just some questions you should definetly know before buying.

Contact a Registered Importer to get it verified that you can have them legalize it. Everyone on here knows that Motorex is the only one, but call around and find out for yourself that it's true. When talking to the RI, make sure they can import not only Skylines, but that specific model of Skyline.

For example, no 4-doors can be imported, also, last I heard Motorex can only import '90-'95 models due to OBDII. So that one wouldn't be able to be imported.

Like everyone's saying, do your research first! If it seems easy and/or cheap, it's 99% not going to happen. That's the way it is dealing with US Import/Customs.

I've known a few people unable to import US vehicles that were taken out of country, paperwork lost or done wrong, and the US spec vehicle can not come in without going through an RI.

Here's a Skyline being auctioned off by US customs. Just one of many that someone thought they could just buy one and pick it up. Just to find out they can't and US Customs auctions it off.

Yea... MotoRex cant legalize Post-OBDII Skylines anymore... Not for a while. You'll be shit out of luck if you try to import that thing dude.

Only way you can get that thing in the states is with the 'Race/Show Only' forms... And even with that, you have to convince customs that you will in fact use this car at the tracks, i.e be in a club racing group that allows Skyline, attend open drag days, go to road courses, etc.

You must keep clear records of all of your track experiences, mileage, track events if applicable. Things of that nature, to show that the car is actually being used at the track.

mB also made a post a while back, that showed proof that a Race/Show Skyline can only be kept in the states for a MAXIMUM of 5 years... At a time. So there are legal ways around that. But expensive ones.

So basically it just seems... Not worth it. Just go buy an RPS13 off Ebay with an RB already installed... Much cheaper.

motorex isnt legalizing ANYTHING at this point, so he WONT be able to get it in. plus, if he needs to make monthly payments anyways, how is he going to afford legalization in the first place? you need the $$ up front for that.
