help, my speedo's gone crazy!

the speedo in my car is all screwed up, some people say its just the wire, but i dont know. it is ether at zero or at 120 it dosent work at all, everyonce in a while it goes back and forth like crazy but thats it, any suggestions?

Once in a while my speedo does so crazy shit too!!! Bouncing and what not.

My speedo went crazy too, I just replaced it with a used one.

Mine did that not too long ago. Be ghetto and just hit the right side of the gauge bezel bump in your dash. Hit 'er really really hard multiple times until it works again. Then jab your hand under the dash and start pulling and pushing whatever your hands find. That fixed mine.....

my tachometer is messed up, that will flip out sometimes. my speedo is fine though

i laughed at the hitting idea and how ghetto it was but once i got over the comedy, i thought hey, why not, its free. and guess what. it worked, i dont know for how long it will but it does at the moment so, awsome, thanks, now i just need to get some reverse glow gauges.
