I have just purchased a 2004 Montana. While trying to personalise the remote functions...everything programs fine except the lock confermation. I would like to have the lights flash and horn beep to let me know vehicle is locked.
Yes the van has this function...I get 3 chimes when entering program mode. The instructions in the manual were followed to the letter.
I get no chimes when I press "lock" in programming mode
Thanks for any help you can give...the dealer is no help at all

I thought it didn't beep the horn unless you pressed the lock button twice?? The horn beep is by default a confirmation sound, but not neccessarily a prerequisite for locking the doors. just my .02

two presses is a programmable option of 4 choices...dealer is telling me that the manual is wrong and Montanas no longer have confirmation at all

I'm starting to regret my Montana purchase after only 1 week. The remote thing is pissing me off. I have gone to GM Canada site and the Mail page doesn't work. The phone numbers get you someone who can barely speak english and they can't answer any questions regarding vehicle concerns.
I had to take my van back to dealer with a seatbelt problem only to find out that my van was put together wrong from the manufacturer and needs the whole right side interior replaced....I can't win!!!!!!

Can anyone confirm that 2004 Montana's can not be programmed to give doors locked confirmation??
