I have a 1993 Chevy Astro EXT and suddenly the instrument panel fuse keeps blowing for no obvious reason. Has anyone else had this problem? It also seems that when this happened the tranny doesnt seem to shift properly anymore. I have looked at the wiring diagrams and there is a pink/black wire that runs to the instrument panel, the tranny, and the egr valve. I am stumped on this one.....help!

Re: Instrument panel fuse keeps blowing
Sounds like a short somewhere, don't quote me though...

Do you think that it could actually be a short in the instrument panel or possibly the ignition switch? I have never heard of a instrument panel shorting out but its all possible.

Re: Instrument panel fuse keeps blowing
I have seen switches short out, and there are alot of wires and plugs behind the panel, It's the only thing I know of to blow a fuse, unless the circuit is overloaded.
