Question pull head/parking lights on and all dash lights go real dim/no radio or heat lights

i just bought a 95 riv.and got a few problems.when i pull on my lights dash lights go dim(exc.mileage,tripom,and dash gear selector,ext.temp)is this normal for this car?i mean no radio,no heatercontrol lights,no console lights for(gear selector)ichecked the fuses9DRIVERS SIDE DOOR)and under hood(box under hood on drivers side)i have no manuel cant get a chilton /haynes on this car (tried to down load owners manuel got from this site and spent all night tring to get it off WHEN I OPENED THE FILE ALL IT KEPT DOING WOULD KEEP FLASHING AND COULDNT GET IT TO STOP.also having problem with trac.cont(dont know if it works when i push the button no light to tell if its on or not ..if any body could help it would be greatly app. low on funds after purc.my babyat the moment.its a 1995 fully loaded super charged confusing [email protected] worth the fun. thank you chick

Dimmer module located on steering column. It is just a resistor with a large alumnium heat sink attached. $40-$50 at the dealer. It took me awhile to figure out so I thought I'd post it for anybody else who did a search.
