Progress: Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VI

Hi,

Newbie introducing himself officially.

My first model after ten years of silence. This is just for practise before my next project. Need to know wheter I still remember...

The model is Tamiya Mitsubishi EVO VI and being built straight from the box. I tried to take some pics of the interior but either I'm lousy at taking pics or the camera is not good enough so none of them succeeded. I believe it's me...

Anyway, here are some pics. Please comment. But be gentle. After all you could call it as my first model...

I really need to learn how to take pics

excellent job, very shiny!! just one thing for future reference, it looks like you used a gloss blue for the seats. instead, use a semi-gloss or flat, makes it look more realistic.

Nice job so far! The drivetrain and suspension look fantastic.
I agree about the glossy interior, though. Flat colors simulate fabric and suede better, semigloss works great for leather and vinyl.

Keep it up!

Is there any way to make the blue semi-gloss anymore? Maybe some sort of clear coating? Or do I just need to paint it all over again with a different color?

Btw you can call me Sammy

If I make same kind of mistake, I usually use semi-gloss clear paint from Mr. Color (Japanese brand). I dont know if you can find it in your country, but it works for me.
Good luck...

testors modelmaster has all three versions of clear. flat, semi and gloss. I goes on very nice and because of those three bottles, It only have to get one of every color instead of 2 or three.
