Turbo Kit?

Is it possible to find either a bolt-on turbo kit for a 95 grand am se, or find a universal kit that will fit anything? My ride needs some more power and I figured a turbo would get me that. Any suggestions?

Re: Turbo Kit?

im not too sure....but its probably not a good idea just to bolt on a turbo to any stock g/a motor because they are not quite built for them and probably could not handle the higher compression. Both the 6 and 4 cyl probably do not have a strong enough block, so you would end up blowing the engine. I think that Pontiac did however offer a high output 4 cyl ( which was turbo charged) in the 94's and 95 gt's...not sure if anyother years, but if i were you i would try to get my hands on one of them from a salvage yard or even on ebay motors. This engine i believe has 170 or 175 horsepower which definitely give you alot more power...it would be more work, but it would probably be cheaper than most good turbo kits, and im pretty sure they do not make any for your engine anyways
