check your owners manual.....should have a button located in your fuse box. The manual will outline a 30 second procedure for reseting.

You do not state the year of your vehicle, however if it is a 98 to 02, turn the key to the on position (not starting the engine), and hold the trip meter in for about 15 seconds, the change oil light will start flashing, and reset.

I would check with the local dealers, sometimes they have used manuals for sale for cheap. It's worth the $10 or $15 for it I think.

I have a 2001, this is right out of the manual.
"To reset the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message, turn the ignition key to run with the engine off. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message flashes for five seconds, the system is reset". |
