pvc valve location

okay i have a lesabre 1988 100+ miles 3.8 engine need location to the pvc valve want to change but no luck in looking

Re: pvc valve location

On 87 it is in the front just to the left of center (as looking at the engine from the front grille) tucked in between the channels of the intake manifold. There is a hose from it going off to the throttle area.
I replaced mine but it seemed to run a little worse, so I put the original back in.

On my 89 with 170,000 the hose was very brittle and leaked vacuum after replacing. Very difficult to get access in there. I wound up cracking the gromet into the intake plenum and the piece fell in.
I had to remove the throttle body and use a heater hose attached to the end of the shop vac to suck the piece out.
