everytime i start my 99 tacoma my gear shift flops from side to side,
when im driving and give the truck gas then let off it moves back and forth. is this normal or do you guys think that i have a loose crossmember?

thanks, i was in mcdonlds drive thru setting a while cut the engine off, and just happened to be looking down when i was starting back up. i had never noticed that before.

Oddly enough, the past two generations of Tacoma's that have automatic transmissions are known for that same problem.

Your trany is hooked strait to your engine ever notice an engine torque a little when reved up?

i dont rev my engine, but i have only had it 7 months and never looked at it.
