95 explorer blend door!!

I have to replace the blend on my explorer. Does anyone know where I can get some info or schematics for this.

the only way to replace the blend door is to replace the entire heater case - it isn't that hard but you do need to evac the a/c system

blend door fix

You can pin the motor shaft. I did my 97 Explorer last year and it still works great. The motor is behind the glove box. I just did a 97 Windstar that I posted in the Windstar forum.

Heater Blend Door Fix

Sorry no pics of the Explorer repair, but you should get the idea from the Windstar. Difference being, you'll need a mirror to inspect the Explorer blend door hole.

free blend door fix

There is a posting on the www.ford-trucks.com forum that has detailed pictures and instructions for this fix. I haven't tried it yet, but there are many many satisfied people who have. Also several postings on variations of the problem. Good luck!
