2004 Ranger headlight replacement

I used to own a 98 ranger and it was so easy to replace the headlights, but in my new 2004 ranger it seems impossible without removing the whole headlight assembly. can anyone help me out?? Thanks

Re: 2004 Ranger headlight replacement

I think what you're looking at are the headlights held in by two long metal strips from the back. Look down behind the headlight and you should see the two metal bars and a little bent handle at the end of each one. Pop the bar upward with pliers or such and then the headlight will pull straight out.

These headlight assemblys are really easy. At the top of each headlight theres a small plastic or rubber cover over a black flat metal stip with a 90 degree bend. Pull up on each one and the whole headlight assembly will come out. Instalation is just as easy.
