I have an AEM air intake, but I had to get another air filter caz the other one got smashed. So I went to Auto Zone (i know i am an idiot) and picked up one of there cone filters. Everything works fine, but when I am at about 6500 - 7000 revolutions, I hear a whistle sound from down there. Is my engine being deprived of air at that RPM because the cone filter is crappy? Or is this just a normal sound? Thanks

Re: Air Intake Question
As far as I know the whistle sound is typical with AEM cold air intakes. Mine makes the same noise at half throttle.
