Not alotta lude lately?

How come i don't see a lot of bad ass ludes on mags lately... everyone's been concentrating on the really "compact" cars (i.e., tegs, civics) ... i think they need to do an issue where they dedicate the front page to some really bad ass new ludes and old skool ludes... we're getting left out.

There's one on the cover of the new IT
The sides are ugly on it though. So is the wing.
Actually the only part i like is the interior, the rims and front end.

uh, i think the lude's more compact than the civic last time i checked. but i do agree with you 100%. the lude's left behind a lot of times. but it's also proportionate to how many ludes you actually see on the roads stock or not, which is not very many at all, like there are civics and integras. the aftermarket support for the prelude is also much smaller than it is for civics and tegs. everything ties together and can be blamed for the other. why sell something that there isn't much demand for you know? but it'd certainly be nice to see a prelude featured in turbo, scc, or import tuner magazines once in a while. another thing being that the prelude as of 2002 is no longer in production. speakin strictly from a business sense, the prelude, particularly the 5th gen is a sales failure, or i should say never a sales champion. in 99 11,000 were sold. in 00 sales barely surpassed 9500. that's pretty pathetic given the market it's competing in. it failed to bring in any profit, it cost more to produce these cars than the sales figures could accommodate. so obviously the smart thing, profit-wise or lack thereof, to do is to take it out of the lineup. honda was losing money on the prelude. what would you do if you were a honda exec?? ok, i'm startin to ramble. all in all, i'm not too concerned about preludes being left out. we still drive the best hondas on the road, besides the S2K and NSX.

those sales figures are mediocre and it totally makes sense to kill it "from a business point"

soon, ludes are going to be as rare as supras and rx7's... although it already seems like it.

makes me kinda proud to be different too.

I have emailed scc about the problem of no ludes in there mag and they said "We very much like preludes,in fact; its just that not vary many come across our desks that are extensivly and well-modified and if you know of any that are pass them our way and we will get them into scc."

there are so many cool ass ludes all over the internet. the only thing is, i think its the owners....Prelude owners are different people. have you realized this? most of 'em are in the shadows of sorts or just not out in the open about what they have underneath that awesome hood ya know? we already know our cars are faster than every other compact sports coupe in the states...im not bragging about this, im just being serious. at leasts its what ive noticed lately. i might be wrong.

i would enjoy seeing Ludes in mags, but i honestly dont think its gonna happen.

well, if no other luders are going to send their cars to mags, i'm gonna be the first one!

maybe in a couple of years when i get more stuff put into a car and a garage to keep it in.

i think they're fantastic cars which is why i was surprised that they're not getting the exposure they deserve.

there's a lot of sweet setups at hondaprelude.com and i totally don't understand why those guys don't get magazine exposures...

I sent them a couple of pics and sites were they could find some ludes. Like hondaprelude.com and I sent them a link to the past setups of the week.

I know, I cant wait, and I hope they pick a really bad assed one. I also wrote one to honda tuning but i havent got a reply yet. Thats the one I really think ludes should be in cause its all about hondas.

What if a lude gets a whole issue dedicated to it or a cover? That would be bad.

Like I was saying before, there's a 5th gen lude on the cover of the new IT. Why don't you guys check it out.

I just want to see more ludes period. Cause that IT is the 1st magazine with a prelude in it that i have ever seen, besides the readers rides. I would like to see preludes as regulars in all mags.

i've read a couple articles one in an older SCC, another in i think turbo with modded preludes.
