test pipe?

On the type -S, is it worth taking out the cat pipe and replacing it with a piece of test pipe, like 2 1/4 piping with some flanges welded on instead of puting on a high flow cat, i live in oregon and they arent too worried bout emitions, doggs roll all the time without mufflers and nothins said, just dont wanna loose power if thats the case.

Re: test pipe?

A bit of a gain but probably not noticeable, but it'll throw a CEL.

Re: test pipe?

Test pipe is that like a pipe to use if you're not sure the dope is good so like you use the TEST PIPE uuhhuuhhuuhhuuhh yeah I said Pipe.

LOL just kidding
Don't think it will give you much results but If you do get you might want to find a way how to bypass the censor/censors so you don't piss them off and cause what crazy canuck said and throw a CEL (Check Engine Light)

Pipe Yeah uuuhhuuhuuuhhuhh that's cool.

Re: test pipe?

Yeah, a CEL is a Check Engine Light.

It'd be far more worth it to save up for a CAI or Hondata or Type R rear sway (handling).

Re: test pipe?

You don't need more airflow, the stock system is very efficient unless you're pushing like 350 whp.

Get an Injen Cold Air Intake - great gains for the price.

Re: test pipe?

eBay usually sucks, and the ClubRSX Injen Intake (gunmetal) is the cheapest i've seen.

Actually tozka.com has the Injen CAI (polished) for cheaper - $239 including 2day shipping. $252 at CRSX.

Re: test pipe?

got a quick question, the HKS high power, does that angle out or does it hug the bumper style, on their web site it shows that it hugs the bump, but all diff pics i've seen with it on cars , it angles up, did they make a new model recently?
