03 Z71 Tire size

Before anyone slams me, I have done a search on this, but every post has a different answer, so I asking so its perfectly clear: What is the maximum tire size that can be put on a stock (non lifted) 2003 Z71. I have the stock 17 inch rims, and would like to keep them if possible, but I know tire selection is limited for the 17 inch rims. Looking for something that wont rub, dont want to crank up the t-rods or be worried if I turn sharp that I'll rub something. Thanks in advance.
