my friend got a 1990 toyota supra

my friend just bought this for $2000, it had a blown headgasket, but the guy gave him 2 heads, another motor, and a turbo, good deal, no?

the motor is the 1M-GTE, is this a fast motor? is this a fast car? how hard is it to replace a headgasket on a supra? does it take long?

well replacing ANY head gasket on any car is gonna take some time. gotta take off intake, throttle linkage, fuel rails, probably some coolant hoses. i don't know for sure i just know that it's not a simple 2-4 hour task.

Might as well get the head machined and the block lapped and go ahead and a get a metal head gasket from HKS and get some ARP studs to hold that sucker in place. If your going to do something do it right the first time so it won't go again. Those 7m's are notorious for BHG's.

Well there was a 1g gte a 2 litre POS motor that came in Supra's oversea's or a 1jz which is a 2.5 litre twin turbo. It's probably just dirty and it's a 7m b/c if it got a BHG it's most likely a 7m
