A/C Clutch rattling

I read recently on a thread about someone discovering that the hard rattling noise coming from their engine was in fact the AC clutch going out.

Mine is too. If you know what the best course of action is in fixing this problem, let me know. Thanks.

Oh yeah, also not too long ago and slightly before the noise started, the black plastic "cap" that sits just next to the belt melted off. If that matters, and I'm guessing it does.

Mine rattles too. It doesn't spin.(I don't know if it should) My air doesn't blow cold either.
