ngk sparkplug gapping

this is a stupid question but its been bugging me... the other day i put some ngk plugs in my 4g63. they were the ones with 2 things on the sides to gap instead of just 1 on the top. anyway i couldnt get my gapping tool between them and it looked like they came pre-gapped to .28-.30 so i just installed them. my question is does ngk pregapp these plugs for our cars or what. ive never used plugs with 2 "things" to gap instead of just one on the top.

Re: ngk sparkplug gapping

I did not know NGK make double ones anyways 99% of the time they are pregapped so you should be fine.

Re: ngk sparkplug gapping

yea they make double ground spark plugs.. (aka...multi ground) i do not trust the pre-gap considering if someone bumps it or drops it the gap is fucked... so whos to say that the guy stocking the plug didnt drop a few! oh well, yea there is no way to gap them unless you cut a gap tool to fit! personally i just wouldnt buy multi ground plugs... good luck!

Re: ngk sparkplug gapping

use the round wire feeler gauges instead of a flat spark plug gap tool
