Driver's License

Was in a traffic school the other day. And the instructor said how complicated situation is when people are able to see each other's driver's license info. I went to check the dmv site to check my profile, and there's no way one can find out unless the person knows the driver's license number before hand. I think the panic is a bit ridiculous. Anyone's thought on this? Or has there been a way where people cracked the personal info without the numbers?

basically because it has your home address written on it. it makes tracking easier for stalkers and the whole crap with Homeland security business.

auto theft? that doesn't make sense. especially since the police will be looking after the vehicle, and the tracker is no longer anonymous or concealed.

it's not about grand theft auto. let say you got a stalker or enemy you know, but he doesn't exactly know where you live. and if he follows you, you'd become suspicious. so the next best thing is looking up your address in your license via internet. the tracker can get it and enter your house. or let say you're someone important, and some perpetrator wanted to send residual lethal chemicals (i.e. anthrax).

well that's been the topic of discussion and raised concerns. but I went and checked today at the dmv website, turns out, no one can't get your personal info unless he/she already aware of the driver's license number. and even if you have the number, all the personal info has been blocked if you signed the agreement for driver's privacy disclosure.

and how do you manage that,? especially since I, like many others, aren't listed in yellow pages.

Re: Driver's License

lol, go check out the "background checks" thread. A full name and city you live in is all it takes to track you down.
Its quite simple these days

Re: Driver's License

use a search engine for "free background checks" (reason being as you can get a background check easily for some money). Now filter out the sites until there is one for free.

You can also fin an adress from a listed phone number.
