My Teg wants to haul
I have a stock94 Integra LS. I have an urge to get some life into the motor. I have about $3500.00 as an initial investment. I was looking into getting a GSR engine but was told my motor was in very good condition, but I should just go with a vtec top end making a ls/vtec. If I did this, would I be able to use an exhaust and header system designed for a LS non vtec. Also my friend says I should get a new cam with new springs and retainers as my car has 108k on it. If I get the v-tec top end, can someone recomend which model I should get and the cost. If there are any other recomendations, to get good horsepower from my car, I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: My Teg wants to haul
yah I would say do the lsvtec.I think u should be able to use a ls exhaust and header system because u will still have the ls bottom end. I would recomend the b16a head, because it has the best flow. um.... I think u should be able to get the b16a head any where from 300 to 500. u should also look into the other things needed to make an ls-vtec run well http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/lsvtec/lsvtec.php this site explains alot of it. u should def. look into new cams. u can make alot more hp if u get good ones.

Re: My Teg wants to haul
I have also heard that the LS motor is one of the best Honda motors to turbo with stock internals, and I'm pretty sure you could find/build a turbo kit for under $3500. LS/vtec definitely not a bad idea either though, if it's done right of course.

Re: My Teg wants to haul
u would have to use the cams from the vtec head. u could use the b18c5 head but for the price and how simaler the 2 heads are in compared to air flow and things u are better of with the b16a head. unless u have one(B18C5) or u have tons of money

Re: My Teg wants to haul
u should use the b16a2 head . you also know the other things that u need to make it work right? like the ls vtec conversion kit, vtec ecu, vtec oil pump, new pistions ( itr pistions should be fine) and of course the distributor throttle body and intake manifold from a b16a engine. it sounds like it would be a alot of money but u could get them for pretty cheap at the junkyard or on ebay or smething like that if u didnt want to buy it new. and there are many other things that u could do past that point to pull even more hp out of it. I just listed the stuff u need to have a good starting block for awhile. ( u can always just keep it like that also u wouldnt have to do anything else if u didnt want to)
