Outside Temprature

I dont think that I am crazy....

I am sure that I have seen the outside temp showing on my climate control panel before, however, I cant seem how to get it to show again. I have looked in the owners manual, and cannot find anything..

If anyone knows how to change from the inside temp to the outside, please let me know.

Thanks
Aaron

Re: Outside Temprature

It should always show the outside temp - (on a classic anyway). The only time it should show the inside temp is when you change the settings, and then it only shows for a few seconds.

Lood on the front of the car and in the opening where the air blows onto the radiator there is a black sensor sitting there. That sensor almost looks like a headlight standing tall (vertical). Wipe the top of the sensor off with a towel and that sould take care of it.
I wiped mine off with my finger (I probably should not have, but to late now). Mine used to blink inside temp constantly, but cleaning that sensor has made mine display outside temp (unless I change the inside temp). Works great!

Re: Outside Temprature

Thanks Treeboy, I had not notice I was not getting the outside temp until this post. I wipe my sensor off with a clean cloth and now I have the outside temp. Thanks!!!!!

The location described is to 1999 only. Not sure if late models are diff.

Re: Outside Temprature

On my 97 it's a small black probe in front of the radiator, bottom drivers side, pointing up.
