Good run of bad luck?

Ive had my Cap on the road three days now after tagging it about two weeks ago. First my dist. cap cracks and I have to replace that($180). Then I have to replace the steering column to pass MD safety insp.($125 and several trips to junkyards to find a good one). The day after I tag it I blow the rear end out($350) and the driveshaft twists and snaps in two($150). Sure I was doggin it a little but nothin worse than anyone else would do with a 5.7 9C1. Now last night I was pulling out from a four way stop and I lose third gear, and I wasn't on the throttle at all. So I try to limp it home w/ first and second...and I make it about 6 miles before I reach a long steep hill and I lose everything right at the bottom, no forward or reverse whatsoever...
Anyway my question is what tranny is in this car? Its a '95 with a 8.5" posi rear...Oh and also the cars for sale...

4L60e.... They're known to be weak. But you can get them rebuilt for a resonable price. It's a shame you're selling it... you couldn't get me to part with mine that easily.

Im not trying to sell it, I love the car. But if someone gives me a reasonable offer Ill get rid of it. Im a truck guy myself, I bought this as a toy and a daily driver in one, thats not the greatest combo...But think about it, as soon as I fix one thing, something else breaks...it starts to work on your nerves. Ive put 50 some thousand on my truck with no probs...and after choppin on it and weldin on it like i have thats pretty dam good. The only work Ive done on this car is fixin the sh*t that breaks, and thats become a full time hobby, and Ive put less than 1K on it....
