Question 90 FE3 front brake set-up

hey everyone, im going to my dads next weekend to put brakes and rotars on his90 cutlass, how are the front rotars set up? Do i just take off the calipers and smack the rotar off or is the bearing assembly part of the rotar?

Re: 90 FE3 front brake set-up

It should be relatively easy to remove the calipers and replace the pads on this vehicle. Jack the car up and support it on jack stands. Remove the front wheel and loosen and remove the caliper. Inspect the rotor. You do not have to remove the bearing assembly as the rotors should slip on and off easily. If the rotor is bad now is the time to replace it. Remove the pads, compress the caliper piston, replace the pads, lube the bolts with brake lube, and replace the calipers. Clean everything with brake cleaner and replace the tire. Repeat on the other side.
