94 blower fan not working

blower fan not working in either the heating or the a/c mode. checked all the fuses under the hood and behind the glove box. think it might be in the relay under the hood but am not sure how to bypass the relay without some kind of diagrham. any other ideas on troubleshooting this. thanks.

Re: 94 blower fan not working

You can try removing the relay and testing it for function. Replace it if it's bad.

Most relays have two pairs of contacts. Normally the pairs that are opposite from each other are matched pairs, but you can make sure. Check continuity between the contacts. Only two contacts should have continuity between them (0 ohms). These two are the powered pair. The other two are the switched pair. There should be no continuity (high ohms) between them. The switched pair should go from no continuity to continuity when you apply battery voltage across the powered pair.
