Oil pressure sending unit

I just can't stop this leak! I have an '83 with the brass elbow. I've used tape and silicone, but it seems to tighten late and always butts up against the throttle bracket. I'm ready to plug that fitting and find another.

if it tightens late, it might be stripped. i'd get an extension fitting about 2" long and get that elbow up in the air a little bit so it doesn't hit anything while your trying to turn it. you can also get a plastic oil line kit, it comes with a bunch of brass fittings so you can eliminate that elbow. if all else fails, you can also tap in above the oil filter. there's a plug in the block right above the filter, but it's a larger hole, so you'll have to get some reducers
