Here's the first shot I have seen from the car at the show. Someone sent it over to me who knows of my passion for the F1. Apparently the photographer shot about 1000 (yes, one thousand) photos at the show, but only took one of the F1.

Anyway, there's no accounting for taste sometimes. Here's the photo - I look forward to many more:



Also, before anyone else is confused into thinking there could be another McLaren in the bottom right corner of the photo - it is actually a Saleen S7. Safe to say that the Saleen's designer borrowed a few of Peter Stevens' lines when designing that car.

I haven't seen that before either...

I'm curious about the badge on the rear grill as well. It looks like it might have been covered up for the show as I recall it being red in other photographs. It's definitely not something McLaren put on the car though.

i recall it was a logo for something. I swear someone in another thread (a WHILE) ago mentioned it had some wierd logo on it. i'll try to look for it

I briefly recall that discussion too - but didn't make a note of it and can't remember it for the life of me. I'm hoping one of 'roadsters photos can clear it up for me.

the badge on the left says specially built (or ordered by) .... then a signature, which looks a lot like andretti. i looked for the sig on the visor, but apparently its on the other side so i wasnt able to see it

the strip in the middle of the grill on the back was blank. i didnt see any real purpose for it
