review of Audiobahn Immortal 12

Once in a while you come across a product that makes you go wow. The first time I heard a system I was amazed. As I got more into it the normal Audiobahn Fosgate ect. system sounded like shit to me. Loud only no SQ. I was amazed at the first time I heard RE and Adire. I'm not much of a JL fan I don't like the sound they put out but w7s impressed me. So to the point....a friend comes to me as they all do now that I'm the most knowledgable car audio person in my town that I know of...and wants me to help him with his immortal 12 (quad2). I was like you shoulda bought a brahma or xxx audiobahn is shit. I did remember from somewhere though someone stating that DD designed the Immortals not Audiobahn (2003 model not the shitty new ones). So he slapped together a cheap sealed box to hear the sound and hooked 2 coils up in series to a bridged 760 watt pioneer amp that was a cheapy from WAL-MART. He also had a second but wasn't hooked up. I helped him design a better box.... 4 cubes after all disp. tuned to 32 hz with a 5"x14" port. We hooked both amps up and I played the same song I always play first on a system late night tip. 760 watts rms prolly more like 600 and my mouth dropped. I'm thinkin this isn't Audiobahn. Ive got audiobahn to sound decent on rap but other than the aw1805qs NO audiobahns I've heard hit that very low note with impact. It was putting some MAJOR pressure on my ears and sounding damn good. In all honesty it blew my friends tempest out of the water in SPL and matched it in SQ. I'm crazy right? NO this sub is badass and I can't wait to put 1200 to it when he gets his new amp. We tested out tons of different tracks and it didn't miss a beat. rock rap pop country all sounded good. So yea I was thinking this sub would get loud and sound like shit but I was wrong. Once again I was like WOW. Yea so i kno i wrote a book but i thought I would share this with everyone. Also if anyone finds any immortals 15's or 12's of the 2003 version for sale PLEASE let me know I want to put them in my car for a few weeks before I get my adire (possibly re) system up and running.

Ill show you my two tempests w/ 1000 in a few days and xxx 15's each off a brutus in a few months and compare. I wasn't saying it was the greatest thing in the world. I just said it was very nice and definately better then the rest of audiobahn were talking DD not Audiobahn.
