Re: boost gauge

Its fine, mine is around 13 to 14 stock. I think most eclipse's are around 12 or 13.

Re: boost gauge

nope i haven't removed anything...i was just wondering about this because i heared that stock t25's on our cars run 7-8psi stock i think...so you guys are sure this is normal? because even today i hit 500miles on my new clutch so i decided to get on it a little and my boost gauge jumped to 15 for a split second

Re: boost gauge

its no problem. I posted something very similar to this thread a few weeks ago about creep. This will happen when you are not running a BC.

Re: boost gauge

13-15 or wahtever is normal. a free mod you can do to get about 1 psi more is to remove a ring in your wastegate soleniod. heres the site http://eclipseworx.com/diy/bcs/bcs.html

Well they must be atop Mt. Everest to only be boosting 6-8 psi! I could understand if it was 10psi +/- one or two, but 6-8?...

Re: boost gauge

the WG actuator is a 7psi device. The stock BCS kicks it up to 14psi supposedly. If not, get a MBC and call it a day. You'll need it anyway.

Re: boost gauge

yeah i was wanting to get a MBC...what's a good one to get? also, i took that Boost Control Solenoid Restrictor Removal and i noticed a very slight difference in the sound of the blow off valve...makes a little more high pitched chirp after you hear the PSSSSSHT, ahh it's hard to explain but it's sounds cool...i'll try to get a recorder and record it then post it.
