South American Blazers have V8's???

Hey guys, i was talking to a sales person at the dealership the other day about the Last body style S10 blazer with the ZR2 option. ive pretty much decided that for me one of these would be a great truck, my only drawback is that they dont come with a V8. and its a pissing contest testosterone thing, but i have to have a V8. however, i heard a rumor that south american blazers in this new bodystyle came with V8's. does anyone have any info on these, or know anything about them??? is there anyway to get one into the US? any help here wuold be greatly appriciated. im trying to decide between one of these, or an old 72 convertable with a TPI 383.

Mines a V8 but thats a whole different story, jegs sells motor mounts if you want to make a fun project.

Yip, get a Blazer and rip out the 6 and install a 350.

no, but i've driven em. not incredibly impressed. I don't like the brand new chevys and gmc's though. Nothing about them impresses me. Plus i can't stand aluminum engines.

2003 models are gutless but the 2002's were borderline race machines, man were they fast!

When the changed the body style, they somehow detuned the engine slightly for less torque to counteract the wheels spinning.

Yeah my friend's 03 Silverado with the 4.8 is pretty gutless. Thing doesnt get moving till above 3K - what kind of truck motor is that!?
