Re: 1998 power windows, sunroof & wipers don't work
What's up Sharon... I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Limited - Maroon (Sweeet!!) Anyways, bought it 09/03 took it to the shop 11/03 w/ the same problem.. I had personally changed the fuse in mine and to no avail nothing happened. Maybe I didn't wait long enough.. Took it to Ford dealership and $40.00 later it was one the fuses... Repair guy had no idea what happened... In any regard I had to pay 40 bucks. hopefully this helps...

Re: 1998 power windows, sunroof & wipers don't work
Hi Sharon and Dave - mines a 2001 Sport. The radio doesn't work unless the driver's window is down. If the radio (or CD player) is working the turn signals don't work (blink really fast like when a bulb is out. Took it to dealer twice before the warranty was up, but of course it wouldn't do anything but work right. That was a year ago - now nothing works. And now I can't afford to take it to the dealer. I know Explorers have had lots of electrical problems - does anyone know if there was ever a recall for wiring?

check the relays under the hood in the power distribution box (little black box should be near the battery)

Thanks for the response. The relays under the hood checked out ok. Resorted to Ford service - they replaced a "module" (set me back a quite a few $$).
