97 Can't find power steering reservoir...

Ok so i can't figure out where the powersteering reservoir is on my 1997 Buick Lesabre Limited. Looking for the cap/dipstick to check the fluid levels.

The manual says below the generator and behind the accessory drive belt toward the rear of the engine.

I think it may have too much dirt and crap on the cap that i can't find it. but i'm guessing that this is on the left side of the engine (if you are standing infront of the car and looking at the engine).

Anyone able to come up with a more descriptive way of describing where i can find it?

Re: 97 Can't find power steering reservoir...

It is in a very inconvenient location for service and difficult to see. The owners manual has a drawing of the accessory belt routing that identifies what each of the pully serves, one is marked for the P/S pump. It is close to the firewall, relatively low on the engine when seen from above (about water pump level). It is below and aft (toward the rear of the car) of the alternator and the serpentine belt tensoner. The reservoir cap location relative to the P/S pump pully is a few inches toward the centerline, above, and aft.

finally found it... had to get in there with a flashlight.... had to get a funnel with a flex tube to fill it up. I think i've got an internal leak... which sucks... so its off to the shop.
