Lost the Z, but it was a interesting story....

This is a true story of me and my search for a 300ZX.

I was in the process of getting the 95 Zed with 130k miles on NA motor in decent shape for way more than its worth. Well thanx to some horrible luck with banks and a lost debit card from almost a year ago, my credit rating went from a 690, to a 535, in 5 days. I was just about to finish the deal when I was informed that I had a outstanding balance to a "Citibank Visa" of $4200, well that was paid off almost a year ago and they show it as settled, BUT the credit people never recieved the info to fix my credit report. So they are resubmiting the information to them. Not a big deal so far. Then same day 20min later I find out that I had missed 2 payments on my trade in car totaling $610.90! This was a big amazement to me becuase it was set up to be a automatic withdrawal out of my account..... the plot thickens. I check this with my bank they show me my account statement showing a $166 withdrawal over the internet to some PORN site that I havent even heard of. To make matters worse I dont even have a computer I use the internet at my school, and we cant even go to those sites. I havent had a computer for 2 years. I dispute these charges which overdrafted my account and therefore lead to the returning of checks to pay for my car to Ford, not once, but 2 times. Now that I have all of this taken care of I have to wait at least 3 weeks for all this stuff to clear the credit people so my credit rating will return to its previous or near it level.

Moral is, if you loose a card, make sure the bank changes your card number and cancels all of your current cards. All this becuase of a lost debit card with my picture on it that I never recieved in the mail. Can it suck more. On the up side the bank is refunding me the $166 and the 90 dollars in fees, for the charges that were not on my card and they are canceling all of my cards and sending me new ones. But now I have to wait and hope they hold on to the car and I can talk them down further on it.

That's why I went the Z31T route...*shines finger nails on shirt.*

Fun, fast, helluva lot cheaper....

I too have my bank stories...but I didn't get out of mine. I ended up having to pay those fu......nevermind....not going there. Point being...a bad bank can REALLY screw you out of a lot of money...

Yeah I am not overly upset about it, still looking patiantly as ever. Hunting for one of 2 cars, a 97-98 240SX (S14) or a Z32 2+2 N/A 93-96. Kinda fun walking around asking sales people if they have one, and then seeing them blow a head gasket tring to think of anything that fits that description. Most common answer I get is, "Uh, howa bout a nice Civic?" God I love salesmen, they often dont know nothing about the cars they are saleing.

Thanks guys for the support.

Not a problem, man.

Too tall? I'm 6' and I can lay COMPLETELY FLAT (legs out and all) on the passenger side of my 86...

That would make it kind of hard to drive wouldn't it?

Ha. Yea...that wasn't the point. I'm saying that there's plenty of room in them. I've slept in my car before on more than one occasion and slept quite comfortably. There's plenty of room for tall guys in them.
