94 Transmission Control Unit Location
Hello All,
I have been having a nightmare of a time getting my 94 LE V6 3.0L (96k) repaired working with a local mechanic. It started with a solenoid problem (lots of a gas but no go), after having the solenoid replaced including replacing several gaskets I got the car back and boom--engine light comes on O/D light flashes off and on. I can manual shift, no problem. Back on the scope and it says the same thing, bad solenoid. Grrrrr. Solenoid tested out fine and now the scope says something about the computer possibly being faulty. At the same time, my radiator developed a crack and had to be replaced! I love my car and want to try and see if the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) is the problem. I want to buy a used one online, but I need the part number. Where is the TCU located? Thanks, Liko |

Re: 94 Transmission Control Unit Location
The tranny control unit is most commonly located beneath the mid console either to the side or in front of the shift lock solenoid.
