Re: us skyline
Anything that is made U.S street legal is not as good as if it were in another country ex toyota altezza (usa know as lexus is300)
Altezza = 200+ hp Is300 = 150 hp We always get the cheap end of the deal.

Nissan is planning on the next GT-R being a global car. That means the cars will be pretty similar no matter what market they are sold in. In the US at least, and possibly even Europe, the car will be an Infiniti. The 'Infiniti GT-R' trademark has already been registered.

Re: us skyline
The IS300(in manual form) and RSX are decent representatives of their drivetrain layouts. On top of that, the schools might have been able to get a discount on them.

Still wrong. The RS200, or Altezza has 240ps, or around 230hp. Its uses a 3sge with VVTi-L. Then there are the IS200 and IS300 models which use the 2JZGE in 2.0 and 3.0 form, and are almost indentical to the US spec models, only the steering wheel is on the right side of the car, and the Lexus badges are replaced with Toyota Altezza ones. Briantran60 you seem to be a bit lost on what the Skyline is, and how it fits into the US market. With out a clearly defined question you will not a clearly defined answer.

But you get the sweet end on other cars, eg Camaros, Mustangs, etc etc. All cars that are horindsly expensive and difficult to own in most countrys out side the US. It would cost me more to import and own a Z28 than it would for you to import legalise and own an R34 GTR. There are a variety of reason you don't get many high performance cars sold else where in the world. Many are only manufactored in limited numbers, the RS200 for example uses an engine with titanium valve gear, and like many others it also requires very high quality high octane fuel, something that is not widely enough avliable in the US. And of course the US market is still considered to be to small, and to closed minded to accept the required volumes needed to make building cars to US specs economicly viable.
