Question Saggy Headliner

Hey Everybody,
Has anyone had any experiences repairing/replacing sagging headliners? I've seen some the kits available but I'm not real sure how well they actually work. Anybody used any of these? Are there some better than others? How much trouble to replace? Have a '90 STD cab. Just looking for info before deciding whether to fix it or just rip it out...Thanks

Don't replace the headliner. The easiest way is to find a Sunroof installer in your area and have him 'recover' your existing headliner. An experienced installer can do a full size suburban in about an hour. I do these vehicles all the time.

Hello, It depends if you want to do it yourself, I repaired mine on my own, I went to Lowes and got a decent grade indoor outdoor carpet, not the cheap plastic kind, but the kind that you would use indoors for people to look at, and some spray on headliner glue, cut the carpet to fit and leave about an 1 1/2 overhang so you can fold it back so you want have an ugly ratty unfinished edge, just make sure that you get all the loose foam off, use a wirebrush to remove it, if you dont it will just come back off, and you will be super pissed. Its not all that hard, it just takes some time, and it looks decent. Good Luck.
