Aurora Vs Potholes!

The AURORA rides nice over most bad roads, potholes, etc. This suspension and ride is out of this world. Women love this car too and not too many people know about the car thats what makes it unique! NY CITY has to be the worst!!! Sewer caps are inches deep, many levels of roads that actually change into holes, bumps etc. I just had the front end checked, no problems, suspension no problem, shocks, no problems for the last 2 years. Same tires for last 4 years (not bald) and 1 alignment. AURORA wins. I out race most cab drivers. How does your AURORA favor in your state and what about your roads??? Thanks for your replies.

My area has some roads just as bad as NYC's roads,
and my 2001 4.0 goes over them almost as if the
pavement were perfectly smooth.

Re: Aurora Vs Potholes!

I think we are all in the same boat when it comes to roads. It really makes me wonder where all the road tax dollars go,,, all the lottery and many other taxes that are supposed to keep our roads good. In TX, you almost need a truck. Wait, I did have a truck before the olds. Now I know why.
My '98 handles everthing well. It bothers me though because I don't want it all lossening up from all the crappy roads. I replaced the rear shocks on it so far. Front still feels tight.

Re: Aurora Vs Potholes!

My '99 handles the New Mexico roads with ease. Pavement, Gravel, Dirt, Clay, Cattle Guards no problem, I agree one of the best rides on the road.

Your "road tax dollars" are most likely just added your state's general revenue fund. From the general revenue fund it is most likely distributed to some social program designed to take money from you (because you're rich, you drive an Aurora) and send it over to someone who is poor (because they have chosen not to work). So, as with the state of Missouri, your roads are crap but your poor people (who have chosen not to work) continue to get money. That's our Robinhood government at work. Pass laws to take from you and me (the rich) and give it to the lazy poor.

I hope your Aurora continues to run well, and hey what's a few alignments, new tires, and new supsension components? You're rich after all. It's no big deal for you...right?

Oh Yea,
I forgot, I am rich, and I do support all those "Special" people who have figured out how to drive fancy Escalades with the shiny rims, and still set home and do nothing. I suppose they are quite brilliant to be able and figure that one out....

Unhappy California has you all beat

Hello Aurora:

But according to the AAA, yes California has the worst roads in the Nation. We are trying real hard to have that of a third world nation.
Buy we we have the highest price for gasoline and highest price on sales tax on gas.

My Aurora has had problems, such as bent braker rotors, cracked radiators, blown tires, and even blend a transmisson pan.

Cal Trans the state agency that handles our roads is basiclly brian dead. But the good news our new Governator is going to terminate them unless they do as better job with the money.

I wish we had road from New York or New Jersey, much better than California.

Take Care
