thanks virus.. i just found a place [http://www.autodynamic.com/] that sells an LED version of the 194/168 bulb. i'm going to order those since my other ones already faded.. i think these will be brighter too. do you know if the HVAC console use these bulbs as well?

I believe dealers started carrying these bulbs for the HVAC when they noticed a problem w/ the lights burning out. So ya, try Infiniti of Scottsdale or somewhere similiar and they will most likely be able to get em for ya.

The bulbs are little and come with a little blue condom that tints the light. If you can find red replacements from a guage/instrument place I would go for that. I couldn't find any so I just dipped them in transparent red paint from the hobby store. Looks pretty good. When they burn out I want to replace the little bulbs with LEDs since they will last longer and I think will be brighter.

im not sure if the LEDs will work cause i was reading a thread where someone tried to use LED bulbs for their rear turn signal on his P11, but didnt work cause nissan uses reverse polarity. not sure if it will work, but who knows if they did on the P10.

So put them in backwards. If I were to put LEDs in there I would take the circuit board apart and figure out a way that worked.
