HELP! Confusing Problem

Ok so it all started when my 2002 z24 (50k miles) needed a new battery because it would hesitate to start after being off for a long time. I replaced the battery and when i went to turn it on it wouldn't. The motor turns its just that it doesn't start up.

I checked all my fuses and the were all fine. Supposedly that the fuel pump worked but it was not sending gas to the motor. So they told me to replace the relay and filter and it still didn't work. When you spray starting fluid to the engine it starts off fine but dies as soon as it eats it up.

So what do u guys think? Is it the fuel pump or something completly different? Any Advice would be greatlty appriciated.

Re: HELP! Confusing Problem

If the fuel pump is not pumping fuel into the engine it won't run as you already know. I would suspect the fuel pump has a ground fault in it and that is what damaged the first battery. I would replace the fuel pump and you should be up and running in no time.
