Help with a 1994

Ok, can you guys come through one more time for me? I just got a 94 and I have some things that need to be fixed.
1.The right side headlight has an adjustment screw/ bolt that is broken (so I can get it to point where it needs to be) and my Ford Dealer says that this part can not be no longer ordered???

2. I dont have cruse control. The fuse is good or it looks good. What do I do next?

3. The check engine light stays on, Auto Zone tells me it may be the ERG valve. I have never removed one, is it tough to do?

4. Passenger side mirror is tore off, where can I find one at a good price. And its power.

5. I have bought a keyless entry kit (Audiovox AA-925) is this to big of a job for me to do?

Thanks guys.... when I find more things wrong I'll post them.....T

Re: Help with a 1994

People keep saying that their cruise control isn't working but I wonder if there rides are like my 94 Explorer where it actually works I just have to keep pushing the buttons all funky-like until it kicks in.

First a headlight screw should be available through a dealer if not you could find a machine screw in a hardware store that may work.
As for the EGR valve its pretty simple and right on the top of the driver side of the engine near the vacumn lines.
You can purchase a power mirror on Ebay for pretty inexpensive or go junk yard diving to find one.
As for the cruise control check to make sure everything is plugged in under the hood and everything is hooked up to it.
Hope this helps.

Re: Help with a 1994

I just had to replace the xfer case last week on my 94 4x4. Before I took it in, the cruise didn't work. After I picked it up, it worked one time, now doesn't work again.

I'm wondering if that mag pickup in the back of the xfer case has anything to do with cruise?

I can tell you guys something about the head light screw. They dont make them anymore. The company that made them for Ford went under and I guess they have not released any rights for anyone else to start making them. I did find 2 screws from a dealer in Louisville KY (the last 2 they had) and this is where I found out about the company going under. I installed the one I needed, removing the old one took some doing. They made these where they lock in place, I had to cut the locking tab to remove it from the back of the headlight. The other end was busted thats why I need to replace it. Putting the new in was easy, hope I never need to do this again. So if you guys need a headlight screw I have one, its about 2.5 inches long. I think it goes on the side of the headlight, I installed the one on top. I'll post the part number on the bag later...... Thanks
