Aftermarket Question...Please Help!
Aftermarket Question...please Help!
I recently bought a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. Our car didn't come with a DVD player, so we negotiated to have an aftermarket one put in for $1100... Before we signed anything, the salesperson confirmed all this on this breakdown piece of paper. After we got the van, we did our research because we are having problems with the DVD system, that the system the dealership had put in, only costs $500. We've gone through our paperwork, and nothing says the cost of the dvd system...just says that the dealer owed us a dvd system. IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO? |

I don't think this is the best place for this question. Find yourself a lawyer, or admit you got screwed

Actually, I spent about 2 hours doing research on my state's lemon laws, cost of all equipment, and average cost of labor...I presented all this info to my salesperson, then asked him "where is the difference because obviously it is not $1100". He then spoke to his GM, who spoke to the mgr who installed the system... I just left the auto place and not only is the problem fixed, but they are removing the old system and upgrading it with no cost to me... So, for anyone else out there that has experienced a similar problem...piece of advice: Do your homework, present it to the dealer calmly, don't just "admit you got screwed" and if necessary seek legal advice. |
