IMPORTANT: tachometer on 97 eclipse

i just got a 5' tachometer and i dont know where to install the green wire (or the lead wire). i also need to know where to install the white wire (the panel lights wire or something like that). but anyways there is four wires and i need to know how to hook up the tachometer on my 1997 eclipse. if anyone knows how to install a tachometer on a 1997 eclipse please email me or answer me at [email protected] or maybe if anyone knows websites for how to wire. but anyways get to me asap. thankyou verymuch

First of all, who do you think you are? No, your question isn't more important than any other.. ESPECIALLY seeing as how it's been asked 100 times.

Second, is it a turbo or not? Do you not have the instructions? You have to tap the white RPM signal at the ECU, so find an ECU pinout for your car depending on if it's turbo or not. The lights can tap from the cigarrette lighter, or some other common method that people use on the dash stuff. You can also use a switch if you want.

No, we aren't going to e-mail you. If you want us to spend our time helping you even after you DID NOT search, you better be on the net learning your stuff.
