Stolen Truck in the Omaha, NE area

Stolen Truck

Sometime between midnght and noon Wednesday, 8/11/04 someone stole my brother Eric's 1999 Dodge Dakota ExCab 4X4 from the driveway right in front of his house.

This thing is unmistakeable, as it is one of a kind here in the Omaha area.

1999 Dodge Dakota ExCab 4X4
Purple
Lifted 6"
33" tires on Aluminum Rims
Black brush guard on the front
4" Hella Driving lights W/ white covers displaying the "Hella" logo
Nebraska license plate # NOX 524

If anyone sees this thing rolling around, please call the Omaha Police Department at 1-402-444-5652, report # 34080E.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Can e-mail a picture. E-mail myself, Robert, at "[email protected]", Eric at "[email protected]" or Greg at "[email protected] and one of us will get ya pic.

Thanks everyone.

I hate to say this, but likely something this unique is in 1000 pieces by now. The stripped shell may turn up, but that's all.
I hate theives

Re: Stolen Truck in the Omaha, NE area

if these were serious thiefs, they would know this was a one-of-a-kinds vehicle, so most likley its been repainted, plates changed etc. Cars NOT found within 24hrs are either A: Never found ot B: Found in pieces.

Re: Stolen Truck in the Omaha, NE area

Well the lost is found. In the impound lot no less. Omaha's finest at work. Don't they check the police reports when they find an abandon vehicle? They (my brothers) decided on a whim tonight to check out the lot and there she sits. Now have to wait til tomorrow to go get it. They said there is about $8000 worth of damage to the front end as if the a$$holes rammed it into a building at 30-40 MPH. I hope they find out who is responsible so my brother can hang 'em high. Guaranteed, my cars are in the garage from now on with the keys in my pocket!!!

Thanks all for readin' this and all your replies and sympathies.

They didn't elaborate. Just said that it is smashed all to hell from the firewall fwd. Said no doubt the radiator and support are bent up and probably some mechanical (ie. water pump etc.). Not sure if passenger window down or broke out and can't tell about passenger fender either. Said hood is like upside down "V".

Re: Stolen Truck in the Omaha, NE area

oh man, that really sucks

sounds like a bunch of drunk/drugged up guys decided to steal it because it looked cool and were driving crazily when they crashed it and left it for dead.

He got a suspition(sp) that it is someone that my other brother's daughter "used" to hang around with. Thinks that one time when they were over at the house that a key was taken and took them til now to get the "balls" to steal it. This is his theory anyway. He also lost the tower to his computer and some other stuff around the time she was hanging with them. Her dad's key to his truck was missing for a time too right about then. I think they are planning to change the locks and ignition cylinders in everything they own after all this crap.

That's his plan if he finds out who it is. Sue for every dime he can get. He says if it is some "teeny weeny" (his words) that he'll sue the parents for all they have too. I pitty the fooo! (Mr T) My brother is not one to mess around when it comes to his belongings. I don't even ask to borrow!
