SES light, can it really be reset?

I read in another thread that the SES light could be reset without taking the car to pontiac. I tried to find the thread again but couldn't. I was driving through a lot of rain and hydroplaned a few times and I think all the rain may have caused the SES light to come on. I would like to reset the light before spending any money. So if someone would tell me how I would really appreciate it.

3 ways...

Autozone
Scan tool

or if you don't care about why the code was thrown, just undo the negative battery cable for 3 minutes, hook it back up and then the next time you start the car, let it idle out for a few minutes. It will have to reset its LTFTs and relearn everything.

pulling the battery cables doesn't completely clear the codes. you need a scanner. free at autozone.

You have to let them off for a decent amount of time(3 minutes or so).

YES, IT DOES CLEAR CODES. Before my scan tool, I did that to get rid of my High Freq. MAF errors(blower + stock tune = High Freq. MAF).
