Quick Update.
Well, I finally took a break from playing with my 97 hatch, and got back to working on my 91...
Today I took it up to my grandfathers shop and we spent all day working on it. First we fixed the problem of getting power to the fuel pump... it now shoots out fuel at it's full 255 liters per hour. After that, we got the power to the injectors going.... When we tried to crank the car though, we found that we were getting no fire to the spark plugs, and ended up tracing all the above problems back to the distributor. I've got to work for the next few days, but while I'm working, my grandfather is going to be taking apart the distributor trying to track down the real problem.... Anyone got any bright ideas?

Well, if I'd been thinking instead of getting pissed off at the problem itself, I would have realized from the begining that the distributor is still apart of the circuit that is the injection system..... so if there's a part in the distributor that has failed, part of the circuit is not getting completed.. in this case, the fuel pump and injectors are going dead. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that after we get the problem with the distributor fixed, we wont need to have the fuel pump or injectors hard wired anymore.
