Dash is rattling . . . NE1 Else?

I have a 2001 Taco - 13,000 miles, 4 door, V6
SOMETIMES when I drive the passenger side dash has a vibration / rattle. If i push on the dash it goes away, I also placed a chopstick between the window and dash and that fixes the problem. Is this a common issue with TAcos?

Probably not it, but I used to have a problem with my glove box door hinge screws getting loose and the door would rattle.

(You know there is something satisfying about a Japanese car being happy with a chopstick stuck somewhere... )

My 99 Taco does it as well. Mine depends on the weather though. If it's cool to cold it rattles like crazy (On the passenger side), when it warms up, I guess because the material expands it stops.

I did read somewhere while researching another Taco issue that Toyota has had so many complaints they have a fix for it, but it does involve dismantling the dash. I figured I can live with this rattle since them working on it may create more...or worse. By far this is the only problem I have had since I bought this truck...other than a O2 sensor needing to be replaced. I count myself as lucky and turn up the music.

I'm impressed with the fact that you only have 13,000 miles on a 2001! I have a 2003 that has 36,000 miles on it already!!!

And I too have a rattle in the dash. It seems to be more pronounced when it's cold outside. It drove me crazy at first, but I'm kind of used to it by now.

The rattling is the airbag module. The dealer can place a piece of foam behind it to stop the noise.
