Goddamn Cars

FUCK ME DRUNK I AM SICK OF CARS IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS.

Let's recap, shall we? Wesdnesday week ago (only 9 days previous), I smash my Rolla. The Rolla was my baby. Everything on it was just how I wanted it. It had an awesome stereo (after the 2 ten inch subs were in anyway), it was low, loud, handled like it was on rails and was punchy as hell to drive.

Needing another car, I grabbed a 1986 Ford Falcon Station Wagon off a mate on the weekend for $250, complete with cracked windscreen and 2 nearly bald tyres. The first thing the POS did was cost me $80 in fucking petrol. Then $200 cashie from a mate to put the new windscreen in. Absolutely spewing.

In the last 12 hours, one of the tyres on the Falcon has gone flat on the drive to work, making me pull over to fill it up (don't think it's a puncture). Once the tyre was inflated, I thought I'd top up the fuel, despite the guage reading full. IN WENT 65 FUCKING LITRES. Great - so the odometer, trip meter and petrol guage ALL DON'T WORK. HOW THE FUCK DO I KNOW WHEN TO FILL IT UP?

Did I mention that it consumes more oil than petrol due to 3 leaks, one of which is HUGE? Or handles like a land barge? Motherfucker.

Also, last night I find out my Corolla is virtually un-repairable from 1 trip over the gutter.

-Left chassis crack
-Right front chassis bent
-Control arms bent
-Lower cross member bent
-Lower control arm bushes
And needs 4 new tyres now.

I DON'T USUALLY WHINGE UNLESS I HAVE SOMETHING TO WHINGE ABOUT BUT THIS IS A FUCKING NIGHTMARE.

I still have some $4000 worth of debt to re-coup before I can apply for a loan to get a nice car and a $1000 season pass to the snow that I now HAVE to use as well, despite the fucked transport situation.

Over it.

Should have bought a Hyundai

Okay bad joke, bad timing, seriously, that sucks. I'll be upset too.

But I don't get the 1000 snow pass reference?

I have paid $1000 for the pass, I'm fucked if I don't use it. Another 1k down the toilet.

Re: Goddamn Cars

I'll sell you the Civic for AU$7000 j/p

I'm shocked that the Falcon commanded any selling price whatsoever!!! Well, it's not something I'd like to be gassing up at least

Solution: Move to NZ, slightly proper cars can be had for a similar price to what you paid....

ratshit.

the best idea IMO is to tidy up the falcon nicely, clean the oil stains off the underside of the engine with brake cleaner, and sell the damn thing before it costs you any more money...

Re: Goddamn Cars

Corolla died on a trip over a high gutter.

Plan:
Flog Corolla off for whatever I can, pay credit card/loan off
Tidy Falcon up
Sell Falcon in a few months when debts manageable
Get loan for nice SR20DE late 90s Pulsar or late 90s B16A Civic VTi-R hatch.

Sounds like you're up that proverbial paddle. But, at least you have a plan.
