'92 runner stock deck doesn't work, is it wiring?
I have a 92 4-runner and a 90 yoda pickup. The runners deck was shot so i tried an aftermarket player and it didnt work, so then i swapped the stock tape player that worked in the pickup into the runner, and it wouldnt work there. The fuse in the fuse box was blown, and i replaced it, but the deck still wont get any power. Is there an in-line fuse or something. I give up, any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: '92 runner stock deck doesn't work, is it wiring?
Well in my 97' I have 2 fuses. One for the ACC, and one for the DOME. They both control the radio. One is in the engine compartment and one it under the dash, check both of them. Also, did you get a new harness for the radio, or splice the factory one?

I had a "friend" who tried to jerry-rig a harness together for the after market cd player, and when he plugged it in, there was some smoke that came from the new cd player and it never did work. Im wondering if the fuse was the only thing he fried or if the wiring is now shot. When we put the stock deck back in it no longer was recieving power. All fuses are fine, so I think its got to be the wiring. Let me know what you guys think.
