1998 Mirage DE Coupe acceleration problems
My 98 DE coupe has been running like a champ for the past 5 months (I bought it used), and the other day all of a sudden while driving back to work it just stalled. I started it back up and when I pressed the accelerator it started stalling again. I finally realized that if I pushed the accelerator real slow until it got the RPM up to about 4K I could slowly take off in first gear. It will run like that between 2.5K to 4K RPM (guessing no gauge), and anything under or over that RPM and it would attempt to stall out. So far I have replaced the spark plugs, checked the air filter, and replaced the fuel filter. I am thinking now that it is either the fuel pump or a sensor for the air/fuel mixture. Note, I can?t find nor hear a vacuum leak (my first thought). Has anyone ever had this particular problem before I start testing every sensor I can find? Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem, only when it rained though. Changed my distributor, plugs and rotor and worked fine. Check the rotor inside the distributor, also check o2 sensor!
