pitman and idler arms
I have the Haynes guide and a pitman arm puller, but does anyone have any additional tips for these tasks on a 95 4x4 Jimmy? Thanks

Re: pitman and idler arms
What do you want to do ?
Anything you take off should be cleaned thoroughly, and relative positions should be marked. Mating surfaces should be rust free, no spikes of metal. You need to be more specific. Dismantling the front suspension/steering involves other work, so you'll need a range of tools, axle stands, dry cover etc etc. The power steering bottle is heavy and awkward to remove, like most items on a Jimmy. Its bolts are likely to be rusted into place and corroded, so you'll need new bolts, up to 3. Teaman3 |
